About the race
Distances are 115km and 86km Road Race and a 109km and 46km Gravel Race.
This iconic race takes the cyclists on an out and back from the Lions Creek Farm to Louwshoek and back again before looping round the stunningly beautiful Nuy Valley.
However, we are doing things slightly differently this time.
Road race – MODIFIED route
On Sunday 6 October we head out to Lions Creek Farm in the Nuy Valley. Here we have 2 road races on the go – an 86km race plus the tough 115km race which takes in the famous Nuy Valley gravel climb, not once, but twice!
GRAVEL race – New route
We are also hosting a 109km gravel race which starts at Lions Creek and follows the roadies until Nekkies, where they turn left, through Nekkies, along the dam wall past Worcester Bakstene then through Cilmor Cellars, before heading towards Robertson and Rooiberg before heading back, past Saggy Stone to the finish.
There’s also a 48km gravel bike fun ride from Willowcreek towards Rooiberg and back again.
Special thanks to our hosts Lions Creek Farm and Worcester Tourism, for helping pull this all together.

115km road | Entry: R400
The 115km race will start outside Lions Creek Farm about 3km before the infamous gravel section. From here you will head out towards De Doorns and Rawsonville. A left onto the Louwshoek triangle will see a sprint zone set up near Daschbosch Cellars for the fast guys. We then head back towards Nuy, turning back into the Nuy Valley at Nuy on the Hill. Past the start / finish area, we then loop twice around the Nuy Valley, with a king of the mountain competition at the top of the gravel section on the final ascent. A tough course with 730m of climbing
